In a week that has been filled with good news in the shape of international call-ups for Kean Bryan, Angus Gunn, Ashley Smith-Brown and Tosin Adarabioyo, City will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to four league games.
A sublime solo goal from Jose Angel Pozo settled a tight encounter on the Blues’ last visit to Middlesbrough’s picturesque training ground but with the Spaniard a fixture for the EDS so far this season, City’s firepower is likely to come in the shape of Dom McHale, Jorge Intima, Joe Nuttall and Bersant Celina.
The last meeting between the sides took place at the end of October at Platt Lane in a game which finished in a 1-1 draw.
City are in good form coming into the game, having claimed seven points from games against Blackburn, Arsenal and Newcastle.
By contrast, Middlesbrough are yet to register a win since the turn of the year but will still be considered dangerous opposition for Adam Sadler’s boy Blues.
Kick-off at Rockliffe Park (postcode: DL2 2DU) is at 12.30pm on Saturday afternoon and it’s free entry for supporters wishing to go along and support.
We’ll bring you a full match report from the game shortly after full-time.
