City u18s play Middlesbrough at Rockliffe Park on Tuesday afternoon hoping it won’t be their penultimate game of the season.

Adam Sadler’s men have forced their way into the post-season reckoning with a fine run of form since February, losing only two of their last nine Barclays u18 Premier League games.

It will be the third game in a matter of four days after City put FA Youth Cup finalists Norwich City to the sword with a swashbuckling 4-1 win at Colney.

This will be the fourth and final meeting between City and Middlesbrough this season.

City have won one and drawn two of the previous three encounters with Boro and go into this one knowing that a win will keep hopes of a play-off place alive.

Kick-off at Rockliffe Park is at 1.30pm and we’ll bring you a report on how they got on here on mcfc.co.uk after full-time.
