City under-18s will be aiming to bounce back from their FA Youth Cup exit when they face Blackburn on Saturday.

After winning 13 games in a row, the boy Blues have now lost their last two matches and will be looking to put things right when they host Rovers at Platt Lane.

However, City are enjoying an excellent season and remain top of the u18 Premier League North Division. Two points ahead of their nearest challengers, Everton, the Blues also have two games in hand on the Toffees.

Last time these two sides met, City’s youngsters put five past Rovers – with Ambrose netting his first hat-trick for the club. triumphed 5-3 in frosty northern conditions.

Blackburn now lie in eighth place in the division, but overcame Manchester United 4-2 on their last outing so will be keen to see off City and claim a February Manchester double.
