Lee Carsley’s first match in charge will take place at the CFA only hours before Pep Guardiola’s first team begin their Premier League season against Sunderland.
It’s likely to be a baptism of fire in the North Group for the 42-year-old coach who took over from Jason Wilcox this summer as fixtures against Everton, Liverpool and Manchester United all feature in the opening period of the season.
The first Manchester derby of the season at U18 level is scheduled for Saturday 17 September at the City Football Academy with the return taking place on the 3 December at United’s Carrington ground.
The final match of the initial stage will then take place on 18 February at home against Middlesbrough.
Where City end up in the North Group will decide which group they go into, with the top four from both the north and south regions going into a national Group 1
At that stage, clubs will only play each other once before the Premier League champion is decided.
