Lee Carsley’s City are unbeaten after 12 matches so far this season and sit one point ahead of Manchester United at the top of the Premier League.
They travel to United’s AON Training Complex for this weekend’s match and Latibeaudiere believes City’s victory over United in September gives them the advantage.
He said: “It’s a special atmosphere. It’s a Manchester derby even though it’s only at U18 level it’s still incredible to be a part of.
“Also, similar to how it has been in the first team a few times, us and United are fighting at the top of the table and this result could decide where the title goes.
“We’re full of confidence heading into the United match and we expect the same result as we got when they came to the Academy Stadium.”

A number of players on both sides including Latibeaudiere, Jadon Sancho, Phil Foden and United’s Angel Gomes, are also teammates with England. However, Latibeaudiere insists this will not cloud the judgement of City’s players once the match is under way.
“On the pitch we know it’s not the same. We’ve got business to take care of and we have to play our game even though we know many of the players on the other team internationally,” said City’s captain.
“There’s never any problems between the two groups because we know we’re both working hard for our clubs but we’re determined to show we’re better.”
