City's youngsters pitted themselves against Europe's best yet again this weekend.

Mark Kennedy’s U15s were in Croatia for this season’s edition of the U16 Istria Cup, eventually finishing third.

After lifting the Premier League International Tournament last weekend, the U15s were challenged even further in a tournament designed for players a year older.

A 2-2 draw with Red Bull Salzburg was followed by a 2-1 victory over AS Roma.

Despite a haul of four points from two games, goal difference denied the Blues passage to the final.

They instead played in the third place play-off where they beat AC Milan 5-4 to come third against a selection of Europe’s best.

City’s U16s came fifth in the International Finals despite only suffering one loss from four matches.

The Blues beat Chelsea 2-0 and Anderlecht 3-2 either side of a 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur. City beat Derby County on penalties after a 0-0 draw to finalise their fifth place finish.
