Where are you from and what is it like?
I’m from Poynton. A little village just the other side of Stockport. It’s a nice village with pretty little village centre and a few shops and it’s where I still live. It’s very different to what I imagine it would be like to live in the city centre.
Earliest footballing memory?
I’ve been at City since the under-6s, which is the first age group. I remember training at Platt Lane and being one of the many kids that was running around after the ball and celebrating like mad when I scored.
I’ve seen Pablo Zabaleta quite a lot during my time coming through the ranks. He’s been doing his coaching badges and when we were about 12 or 13 he was coming to take quite a lot of sessions with us. It made it feel real and that you could believe in a future at the club.
What did you do when you weren’t playing football?
I don’t have many memories that aren’t about football to be honest. I played some cricket but it was just to fill some time until the football got more serious. There wasn’t a lot in Poynton to lead me to develop any strange hobbies!
Favourite film?
Saving Private Ryan.
Favourite type of music?
Beyonce and Drake.
Favourite thing about life in Manchester?
I’m always shopping.
