Manchester City U18s have learned who they will face in the group stage of the new U18 Premier League Cup.

The young Blues have been drawn alongside three teams from the U18 South division and will face Norwich City, Reading and Southampton in Group C.

A new addition for the 2017/18 campaign, the U18 version is complimented by the U16 instalment, with the group stage draw mirrored across both competitions

The younger Blues will therefore face the same teams as their U18 counterparts up until knockout stage.

Introduced to provide an extra element of competitive cup football, the Premier League Cup divides 24 teams into six groups of four, with each club playing each other once.

The six group winners and the two best runners-up, which will be decided by total points and then goal difference, followed by head-to-head record, will progress to the quarter-finals.

In the knockout stage, all ties are one-off matches and should scores be level after 90 minutes and extra-time, the game will be settled by penalties.

Both the U18 and U16 Premier League Cup fixtures will be played on the same day.

U18 fixture details will be available on mancity.com in due course.
