Eric Garcia is looking forward to his first Manchester derby as City prepare to face United on Saturday 25 November in the Under 18 Premier League.

City currently sit just two points below first-placed United in the North standings, and a win at home will take us above the Reds to the summit of the table.

Garcia is keen for the upcoming clash as it will be his first match against Manchester United in a Blue jersey.

“A derby is a different game,” the Under 18s starlet told mancity.com. “When I was in Spain I was accustomed to play derbies against Espanyol, so I know that it will be different.

“It’s my first game against United - it’s always a good match and we are going to try to win.

“I think we need to play how we have been playing these days and as a team where we are helping each other on the pitch.

“Since the first day of the season we have been expecting this match, as it’s obviously different and very exciting for us all.”

The Spaniard believes that City’s upcoming game could be quite evenly matched.

“It will be a match where both teams will try to keep the ball as much as possible,” Garcia said. “So we hope we can have the ball and then we can play like we know how to.”
