Q: Tell us a bit about where you were born and your upbringing?
A: I was born in Cambridge and grew up around the area. I’ve played football since I was five and been in an Academy since I was seven. I’ve got a brother and sister. Football has always been in my blood but I’ve always been sporty and my Uncle is Nick Knight who played cricket for England.
Q: What’s your style of play?
A: Attacking. I’m not afraid to make a mistake and always try my hardest.
Q: Which first team player are you most like?
A:I try to model myself on David Silva. I like to play as a 10 just drifting in around the box. I’m not the biggest so it means I have to be a bit cleverer in my approach.
Q: How long have you been at City?
A: I signed for the club last month so I haven’t been here very long!
Q: Who is your best mate at City?
A: I’ve known some of the boys from linking up with England so it wasn’t like I arrived here and didn’t know anyone. And I’ve already got to know the rest of the boys well so it has been great and they have all made me feel welcome.
Q: What did you want to be as a kid?
A: When I was younger although I scored lots of goals I didn’t think that football was going to be what I would do. Then, about four years ago, things started happening. I started playing up a year in age-groups and then it just kicked on from there but I never really thought about doing anything else at that age.
Q: Who has helped you get to this stage the most?
A: My Mum and Dad. They have always really helped me. Every week my Dad used to drive me to Ipswich four times which was an hour’s journey – hopefully I can repay him in the future.
Q: What’s your best personality trait?
A: I think I’m not afraid to talk to anyone. In fact I think I’m probably better at talking to older people. I get on with everyone but I do like talking to older people. When I was younger I didn’t really hang out with people my own age it was always older people.
Q: Worst goal celebration you have ever seen?
A: I haven’t really seen any bad celebrations. A goal is a goal really.
Q: …and the best
A: My favourite is the knee slide.
Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given so far?
A: To be a good person. Obviously, I have got talent to be here but if you haven’t got the right attitude or are not a nice person you are not really going to get anywhere.
So I think it’s important to stay level-headed.
Q: Who has the best haircut in the squad?
A: Everyone has got different hair but I couldn’t really say who has the best.
Q: …and the worst?
A: I’ll pass on that one too!
Q: Best ground that you have played at?
A: To be fair I really enjoyed playing at Ipswich’s Portman Road ground. I’ve also played at Carrow Road and QPR’s Loftus Park. I’m also really looking forward to playing at the Academy Stadium here.
Q: What is/would be your chosen shirt number be and why…?
A: I’ve always worn the number 10 shirt but this year it depends on what position you are in. If you are on the right you get seven, if you are in the middle you get 10 and I am easy with seven or 10. I got my shirt and that has 10 on it but either is fine with me.
However when I’m older I’d like either the number 14 or 22. 14 is the day that I was born and I just like 22!
Q: What has been your best on-the-pitch moment in your career so far?
A: I went through the Tottenham side and scored... that was when I was playing at Under-13s level. That’s what really stands out so far.
