Despite playing well, Gareth Taylor’s side struggled to find the net in the first half before Ben Knight opened the scoring on 62 minutes.

Palmer closely followed with the second from a penalty he won, but the number 10 believes City could played more efficiently to score more chances.
“I thought the game was good in the first half. We played some good stuff but obviously it was hard to break them down,” said Palmer.
“The second half was a bit better. We broke them down a bit more, created a few chances and got a couple of goals.
“We could have scored more if we moved the ball a bit quicker in the final third, and be a bit more patient, but that’s football.
“They put a block on and we tried our best to break it down, and in the end, we were good enough.”
On scoring, captain Palmer said “I’m always happy to get a goal, but it’s not about me really. It’s all about getting the three points for the team.”
City U18s’ next match takes place once the international break is over. We travel to face Stoke in the U18 Premier League on Friday 18 October.
“After the international break, we need to get back together, keep working hard and keep improving on the little details so hopefully, we can get a few more goal each game,” said Palmer.
