Youth team captain Ben Mee is confident that City can make home advantage pay when they meet Chelsea in the return leg of the FA Youth Cup final.

The return leg takes place on Wednesday April 16th, and Ben thinks that the young Blues can take their form from Stamford Bridge with them as they bid to bring the trophy back to City for the first time since 1986.

He says, “We feel that having our fans behind us will give us an edge. Scoring like we did and creating the chances we did has helped our confidence.

“It was great experience to play in another big stadium in front of a big crowd and we coped well with it. We have a fantastic amount of talent in our side and Chelsea are an attacking side too so it should be a great return.

“I thought we did well to travel down to Stamford Bridge and get a draw. We conceded from a set piece, but overall the draw was deserved, we played well and we are now looking forward to the second leg.

“But we have seen each other now and know a lot more about each other’s strengths and weaknesses. The tie is well balanced but we saw enough to think we can win but I suppose they will feel the same. Home sides have not had a great record in this competition this season but hopefully we can change that on April 16.”

Seasoncard holders and Live4City members can see the second leg for free on production of a current card.  Seasoncards have already been activated. Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult.
