Under 18 goal hero Ryan McGivern is confident that City can finish off the job in tonight's FA Youth Cup semi final second leg.

The Blues battled through to a deserved 2-0 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light last Thursday, with both goals coming from the attack-minded left back.

McGivern, a Northern Ireland international at youth levels, has echoed the words of Academy manager Jim Cassell in his call for vocal support at tonight’s match back on home turf at the City of Manchester Stadium.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better result – two goals up and none against,” Ryan asserts. “Hopefully we can finish it off when we get back to the City of Manchester Stadium.

“We’ll be hoping for a good crowd to come and see us at home. There was a decent crowd at Sunderland, but the home leg will give the fans a chance to come and see what we’ve been doing in all the away games, and hopefully there’ll be a big crowd there for us.

“I haven’t played there yet, just been to watch the first team, so it’ll be good to run out there and hopefully finish the job off and get to the final.”

Supporters wishing to attend tonight’s second leg are advised to arrive early to buy tickets for the game, which is a 7.00pm kick-off, as queues are expected. Box Office South will be open for business from 5.00pm.
