City Academy’s mid-season stay in Abu Dhabi got off to a winning start with a 3-0 win over a UAE select side.
Swedish striker John Guidetti, midfielder Bradley Robinson and Emerick Hippias scored the goals that put the boy Blues, under the guidance of Paul Power, on track to reach the final out a tournament that also contains teams from Inter Milan and Valencia.
The Blues next face Inter on Thursday lunchtime hoping to book a place in Monday’s final.
