City Academy defender Tosin Adarabioyo has been called up to the England u16 squad for Thursday’s Victory Shield decider against Scotland.

Tosin has already joined up with Kenny Swain’s squad at the new St George’s Park facility and will be in contention to play in a match that England must draw to secure a twelfth successive triumph in the competition.

It caps a remarkable beginning to the season for the player after he recovered from a serious injury sustained last season to be on the fringes of the City u18s squad and now recognised with an international call-up.

The match takes place at the Pirelli Stadium, Burton on Trent at 7.35pm on Thursday – you can see how Tosin gets on as the match will be broadcast on Sky Sports 1.
