The lively Austin Samuels gave Wolves the lead after a mistake by Pawel Sokol in the City goal but the young Blues soon got a foothold in the game and began to dominate.
Nabil Touaizi’s header from Felix Nmecha’s corner brought about a deserved equaliser just after the half hour mark and from that point there was only ever going to be one winner.
Keke Simmonds had two decent chances in quick succession. The first saw him hit a tame shot wide of the post from outside the area and moments later he almost scored from Henri Ogunby’s excellent ball into the box but his header went wide.
City were beginning to find their rhythm in the final third.
Ogunby put City ahead six minutes before half time with a close-range header, which was exactly what Taylor’s side deserved.
And the second half saw much of the same. The Blues struck the woodwork twice just after the break – Fisayo Dele-Bashiru hitting the post and Ogunby crashing a shot off the bar after a superb one-two Touaizi.
And City added gloss to the scoreline when Nmecha bagged the third with a beautiful left-footed curler, before Touaizi drilled in his second and City’s fourth with just over 20 minutes left.
The Blues now have six points from their first two games and are two points ahead of second-placed West Brom in the U18s Premier League table.
