What happened...

Manchester City’s U18s fell to their first defeat of the season with a 2-0 loss at Liverpool to close the regional stage of the Premier League.

City found themselves behind within quarter of an hour when Canadian striker Liam Millar found the net.

City dominated much of the rest of the play from that point with energetic midfielder Phil Foden going close on a number of occasions.

It was Liverpool who scored next however, as striker Glen McAuley latched on to a defensive error to seal the result with just over ten minutes to play.
