Read how Lee Carsley's side fared when they travelled to face their Blackburn counterparts at the City Football Academy...

What happened...

Manchester City registered their third win of the Merit Group A stage thanks to a late turnaround at the Brockhall Training Ground of Blackburn Rovers.

U16 star Taylor Richards fired City into the lead after just 12 minutes, his third U18 Premier League goal in four days, following good link up play between Ed Francis and Matt Smith.

Blackburn were back in the match just minutes later as lone striker Brad Lynch hit home past Pawel Sokol before Ben Paton struck the second for the hosts midway through the second half.

City made a number of changes in the second period and it proved to be effective as substitute Tom Dele-Bashiru got the Blues back on level terms following good work from winger Rabbi Matondo.

The winner came in the dying moments as Richards scored his second of the day after more impressive play from Matondo.
