City suffered their third loss of 2018 away to Sunderland U18s on Saturday 24 February.
Gareth Taylor’s side travelled to the Academy of Light looking to recover from a recent 4-1 home defeat to West Brom.
The first half remained goalless for both City and the home side, but Sunderland came back fighting in the second.
Bali Mumba’s goal in the 72nd minute earned Sunderland the win and meant City missed out on another three points.
What it means
Manchester City remain in 4th place in the U18 Premier League table on 26 points, which have been collected through eight wins, two draws and five losses.
