New York City FC suffered a 2-0 defeat to Brondby at the Academy Stadium as preparations continue for the club's debut MLS campaign.

Head Coach Jason Kreis was keen to point to the positives after the game in terms of possession, but admitted the result was disappointing as goals from Martin Omskov and Ferhan Hasani were enough to give the Danish club victory in the last match of their winter break.

With three weeks still to go before the US top-flight season kicks off, Brondby were closer to full fitness and sharpness, and Kreis was confident the game will be of huge benefit as his players continue to learn his passing style.

NYCFC now depart English soils and cross the Atlantic for the third part of training camp in Charleston, South Carolina, where they are set to play three further pre-season games before kicking off against Orlando City on 8 March.
