There’s a knockout line-up in City Square ahead of tonight’s Champions League game against Celtic.

The final pre-match warm up of this year’s Group Stage sees two boxers and two EDS players take to the stage, while we continue our December celebrations with plenty of festive fun.

A pair of Michaels – Conlan and Gomez – face off in our main event as they swap trading punches for an exchange of opinion on the City Square stage.

City fan Michael Gomez is a former British and World Super-Featherweight champion.

He’ll be representing the blue corner as he gives his opinion on City’s chances and recalls a 48 fight career, which saw him share the ring with the likes of Amir Khan.

On Celtic’s side is Michael Conlan, who won World and European amateur boxing titles, as well as Commonwealth Games gold and Olympic bronze medals, on his way to becoming one of Ireland’s most successful amateur boxers.

The charismatic bantamweight has recently joined the paid ranks and will be telling us all about his upcoming professional debut, as well as giving us the lowdown on what we can expect from Brendan Rodgers’ men.

Also joining us, will be two of Simon Davies’ U19 squad, who beat their Celtic counterparts 3-2 at the Academy Stadium this afternoon.

The young Blues have successfully qualified for the next round of the UEFA Youth League and will be discussing their campaign so far, as well as what we can expect from them in the future.

Meanwhile, we continue with our new Talking Points feature and this week Ali Mann will be chatting to Danny Jackson about the topics you want covering.

You can vote on Twitter to decide whether Leroy Sane, last Saturday’s refereeing performance, changes for Celtic or Pep’s squad rotation, is part of our pre-match chatter.

To the festive fun now and once again we’ll have a snow globe, meaning you can follow in the footsteps of your favourite players and join the City Festive Face Off snowball fight.

Fans aged 12 and under can visit our City Christmas grotto to get a free gift from our special Blue Santa and we’ll also see the return of one of our favourite yuletide traditions – the Christmas Jumper Race.

Last year it was Yaya Toure v Gael Clichy and tonight we’ll be asking fans to take on the challenge and see how many of the much-loved festive jumpers they can wear.

Finally, this week we have music from Glenn Smyth, who first picked up a guitar after he suffered a career ending injury while playing for Derby County.

Produced by Dave McCabe, Smyth’s new single ‘Lost And Found’ has received recognition from BBC Introducing and he is sure to entertain the crowd before tonight’s action gets underway.

Don’t forget to stay up-to-date with all the latest City Square news by following them on Twitter.

See you tonight!
