City Square will play host to the daughter of a true City legend this weekend.

Lauren Dickov, daughter of 1999 Play Off final hero Paul, and her band The Kubbs will be performing in City Square prior to the Aston Villa game.

The band are a three-piece all-female pop/rock band who were formed after meeting at an audition, with the two other members, Ailis and Alex, being in a band together previously.

The game will see the band have split allegiances with Lauren, a former Junior Blue, a big City fan and Ailis is a Villa supporter.

You can listen to The Kubbs on their YouTube channel with their cover of Mr Brightside, by the Killers, being the most popular choice.

It’s a real family affair for the former forward, who’ll be on stage discussing his most memorable moments in the Blue shirt and he’ll also be joined by his wife, Janet.

On Mother’s Day weekend Janet and Lauren will pit their wits against another mother and daughter duo in our Mothers Know Best competition. A table for two in our Legends restaurant is up for grabs if mother and daughter can match their answers to our questions.

Back to football... and two players from City’s Barclays U18 Premier League North Division winning squad will be in the Square to review their earlier game at the Academy Stadium against South Division winners, Chelsea.

With one title already secured, the young Blues are hoping to go one better than last year and win the FA Youth Cup and we’ll be looking ahead to their semi-final clash.

Talking of trophies, in the first home game since our Capital One Cup final win, we’’ll have the Cup on display in City Square and supporters will be able to immortalise that dramatic penalty win with their very own photo next to the trophy.

Our second musical offering comes from the highly rated Jackobins. Recently listed in the Fred Perry Subculture and This Feeling “Big in 2016”, they have already supported The Enemy, Reverend and The Makers and The Rifles and big things are expected of them.

This week, there’s plenty of chances for supporters to test their own skills. The popular Kick Point and Dribble Star Challenge makes a City Square return and as always we’ll be giving you the chance to win a host of prizes.

With so much going on you won’t want to miss it, so make sure you get down early to sample everything on offer!
