Team Santa or Team Elf? That’s the question for Manchester City fans this Christmas.

The most wonderful time of year is fast approaching and this season we’re celebrating with a twist.

For the first time, they’ll be two designs of the much loved City Christmas jumper as we pitch a team of Santas against a team of elves in the first ever Manchester City Festive Face Off.

The battle for yuletide supremacy is already underway as a host of Blues picked their team, donned their jumpers and got into the Christmas spirit with a great City snowball fight to launch this year’s festive celebrations.

Leading team #CitySanta is Kevin de Bruyne who is joined by Steph Houghton, Willy Caballero and Mike Summerbee, while Club captain Angelino and Paul Dickov in support.

And who was making sure there was no foul play? None other than Pep Guardiola, who fought the cold off with his very own City winter scarf.

As Christmas approaches more City players will choose a team, but for now it’s the turn of fans around the world to pick a side to ensure their favourite design lifts the Festive Face Off trophy when the winner is announced at 10am on Christmas Eve.

Both jumpers are available to buy online and in all City Stores now and once you’ve made your decision it’s time to get involved in the competition.

Head to mancity.com/festivefaceoff to vote for your favourite jumper, or use the hashtag #CitySanta or #CityElf to show your support.

There’s plenty more fun to come in the build up to the big day, and supporters can help their team pick up valuable points in a range of competitions both online and on matchdays at the Etihad Stadium.

And what happens if your team wins? Everyone who voted will be entered into a prize draw to present the players from the winning team with the Festive Face Off trophy.

Delighted to see the whole the Club coming together, Kompany has issued the #CityElf rallying cry.

He said: “Christmas is a great opportunity to bring people together and for all of us at Manchester City, it’s really important to ensure fans are a part of everything we do.

“The Festive Face Off is ideal as we can celebrate and support a good cause together. City Elves, let’s do this!”

Once again, for every jumper bought the Club will donate £5 to City in the Community’s Cityzens Giving campaign, which Houghton says makes the Club’s celebrations extra special.

She added: “This is such an exciting initiative we are thrilled to be a part of. It combines the fun of the Christmas season with the opportunity to make a difference in the local community. Come on City Santas, let’s win this!”

To buy your Christmas jumper today visit mancity.com/shop or one of the Manchester City Stores located at the Etihad Stadium and on Market Street in Manchester city centre.

From 10 November, Manchester City’s festive line will also be on sale from the Club’s pop up store at the annual Manchester Christmas Markets.
