Manchester City will launch a new sustainable initiative in time for the New Year’s Day home game against Everton.

The Club has enhanced the walking route to the Etihad Stadium which has been developed with the aim of encouraging supporters to consider alternative forms of transport on matchday.

Having worked closely with Manchester City Council, the improved designated walking route from the city centre to the Etihad will relaunch with a special sustainable walk to the match before the Everton game.

Featuring our Walk to the Match presenters and live music from Mr Wilson’s Second Liners brass band, the march will begin at 16:15 GMT from Pollard Street and those wishing to take the route can download the map here.

Learn about the walking route from our playmakers as well as why it’s a sustainable and healthy option moving forward.

Grab the opportunity to hold Walk to the Match Flags and lanterns and there will be face painters on hand to help get your game face on!

The March will end in City Square to a final performance on stage from Mr Wilson’s Second Liners.

Why not give it a go if you’ve not tried it before and bring the New Year to the Etihad while helping the environment?
