City’s epic win over United in the Manchester derby has broken TV audience records at home and abroad.
Viewing figures for live coverage of the game last Monday peaked at 4.4M in the UK, a million more than previous record set by Arsenal v Man United in 2002/03.
Proving that interest in the Blues has truly gone global, ESPN’s average figure was at 1M viewers in the US, some way past their previous best of 610,000 for a Premier League game shown live on the other side of the Atlantic.
