As Vincent Kompany hoisted the Carabao Cup trophy triumphantly above his head, thousands of miles away a lucky group of City fans were celebrating with a Club legend.

The Blues were roared on to victory by fans far and wide, but in New York City Paul Dickov’s voice could be found amongst the cheers.

City’s 1999 Wembley hero joined fans living in the Big Apple for a special event, which brought the Club’s New York fanbase together for the big game.

As well as cheering Pep Guardiola’s men on to victory, Dickov also hosted a meet and greet and was only too happy to take questions from fans in attendance.

“Every time I am invited to these events I am amazed at the loyal support City are getting from across the world,” he said.

“The atmosphere was fantastic at the event and made the win even better!”

Supporters Club representative, Paul Howard added: “On behalf of the New York branch I would like to thank the Club for their continuous support and bringing this event to New York.

“It was an unforgettable experience to watch the team win their first piece of silverware with Pep and in the company of City legend, Paul Dickov!

“We’re all looking forward to this summer’s US tour even more now!”
