Our Addis Ababa Official Supporters Club recently held a screening event for December's Manchester Derby. They raised over £3,000 for a local charity that supports orphans and vulnerable children in the local community.

150 fans, including some of the local children, attended the watch party.

Feysel, the Addis Ababa branch’s Travel Secretary, said that: “It was an incredible experience to watch the Manchester Derby with fellow fans and contribute to such a worth cause.

“Seeing the joy on the children’s faces was truly heart warming.”

Sami, also a branch member, underlined this and claimed that: “This event made a real difference in their lives. Being part of the Manchester City Addis Ababa Supporters Club has been a fantastic journey. Events like these make me proud to be a member.”

We’re thankful to the Addis Ababa branch for their community work with the branch planning their next event in February, a blood donation drive.
