In the third and final episode of ‘Away From Home with Nexen Tire’, Steven McInerney visited Seoul in South Korea to meet Serkin Kim, the chair of the Manchester City Seoul Supporters Club...

Serkin fell in love with City when we won the league in 2012, and hasn’t looked back since, building a base of City fans halfway across the world.

During COVID-19 the Seoul fans couldn’t meet up but would stay in touch and watch games together virtually online, often as late as 4am in the morning.

Steven timed his visit to watch the potentially title-deciding City v Liverpool game with the group at 12.30am in the morning.

This was also the first time the Supporters Club have met in person since the pandemic.

Over the course of two days, Serkin showed Steven around some of Seoul’s most impressive tourist destinations, including the ancient Bukchon Hanok Village and Gwangjang Food Market, where they sampled local delicacies including some of the best Korean fried chicken in the city.
