Manchester City and global sports brand PUMA have today revealed the club's 2026/27 Away kit, launched as part of the men’s preseason tour in Hong Kong.

Bold black and yellow, finished with a swarm of worker bees, this kit is built around one of the most recognisable symbols in the city – the Manchester bee.

The bee has been on the streets of Manchester long before it was on a football shirt - a symbol of the graft, unity, and resilience that define the city.

The 26/27 Away kit puts it front and centre, with a design that channels the noise of the away end and the identity of the streets back home.

It doesn’t matter if you were born in Manchester or just buzzin’ to be here - the bee says you’re one of us.

The use of the bee reflects a collaboration that goes beyond the kit. The Manchester bee is a protected symbol of the city, and Manchester City and PUMA have worked closely with Manchester City Council to ensure its inclusion is handled with the significance it deserves – reinforcing a shared commitment to the city, its people, and the authentic connection between the club and the communities that surround it.

Dominique Gathier, PUMA VP Teamsport: “This kit is about giving Manchester City’s players a shirt that performs at the highest level while carrying real meaning for the city and its fans. We wanted every detail to reflect the identity of this club and the culture around it. It’s a shirt built for the pitch but made to be worn with pride well beyond it.”

The Authentic jersey is constructed with PUMA’s ULTRAWEAVE fabric – ultra-lightweight, precision-woven for unrestricted movement and distraction-free performance at elite level. dryCELL and ThermoAdapt technologies manage sweat and regulate heat throughout.

The Authentic jersey is also made with at least 50% recycled material. The Replica jersey brings the same identity to the terraces and the streets, pairing the match-worn aesthetic with a casual silhouette built for game day and everyday wear, and made using RE:FIBRE technology – 95% recycled polyester sourced from textile waste.

Nuria Tarre, Chief Marketing and Fan Experience Officer at CFG, said: “At Manchester City, we embody the values associated with the worker bee as a symbol of the city and we’re proud to showcase all that it represents on a global stage.

Being authentically Mancunian is in our make up as a Club and we hope fans across the world can feel connected to the city even more with this kit released today.”

Councillor Shazia Butt, Executive Member, Culture Leisure and Libraries, Manchester City Council, said: “The worker bee is one of Manchester’s most enduring and recognisable symbols and represents the values that have shaped our city for generations: hard work, resilience, community, and pride.

“We’ve worked closely with Manchester City and PUMA to ensure its use on the 26/27 Away Kit is both authentic and respectful of its significance. Seeing the bee showcased to a global audience through one of Manchester’s most recognised institutions is a fitting celebration of our city, our people and the spirit that continues to define Manchester today.”

The 26/27 Manchester City Away Kit will debut on-pitch on Saturday 1 August against Inter Milan on the men’s preseason tour, and is supported by a full collection drop, including the Prematch, Travel, King, and Culture collections, all carrying the same ‘Built for This City’ identity.
