Take a look at the best photos of We Stand Together, our striking temporary installation outside the Etihad Stadium.

Commissioned to mark Black History Month and aligning with this year’s theme of Honouring Our Communities, the piece will be stationed at the bottom of Sir Howard Bernstein Way for the remainder of the month.

It follows on from last year’s club campaign around this important celebration of Black people, culture and influence upon society, which saw internationally acclaimed poet Lemn Sissay pen ‘The Stadium Speaks’.

In line with the message shared in that poem, this year’s physical art piece shines the light on Black City fans, staff and players who make up and strengthen City as a whole.

Rico Lewis and Jade Rose represent our men’s and women’s squads, while there are also City in the Community coaches, City Matters representatives, season ticket holders and office staff alongside them.

Created by Liam Hopkins, an artist based in Manchester, ‘We Stand Together’ is a powerful reminder of how individuals can come together to form something greater, as is the case on a matchday at the Etihad.
