The Blue Run is back at the Etihad for 2022 and we can’t wait to see you all again!

Taking place on Saturday 26th March, we have two distance options for our fans to choose from. Your mini blues may enjoy taking on our 2.5km route whilst our 5km option offers more of a challenge.

It’s your choice to run, walk or dance your way around the route.

Our Blue Run route will take you from the Etihad Stadium to the City Football Academy, whilst being covered in blue powder along the way!

There will also be a pre-race warm up and entertainment to get you ready to be covered in glory!

Prefer to run at home? No problem! If you want to have your own Blue Run and choose a distance of 5, 10, or even 15km we will send you a pack in the post!

Some runners might want to push themselves even further, running a set distance in the build up to the Blue Run and finishing their challenge on event day – it’s your run, your way.

All registration fees will include an event t-shirt*, medal and training support.

We will have a range of competition prizes available including our ‘Bluest Fan’ and ‘Top Fundraiser’.

Fancy some friendly competition? Join our Blue Run Strava team and share your training routes and times with fans in the UK and across the world.

Every penny raised will go towards City in the Community’s mental health programme, City Thrive. The initiative was developed with the NHS in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and helps to provide immediate wellbeing support for thousands of people in Manchester aged up to 25.

The programme itself utilises a blended approach, using football sessions, group workshops and one-to-one mentoring to educate students around mental health subjects whilst also equipping them with the tools to regulate their own mental wellbeing in a post COVID-19 landscape.
