As part of the new initiative, Cisco technology will drive year-round connectivity across Cityzens Giving projects globally.
Through a mix of virtual round-tables, expert sessions and knowledge exchanges, the digital learning network will foster connectivity and collaboration throughout the year, equipping Young Leaders with the skills, confidence and support systems they need to continue improving young lives through football.
By deepening the connectivity between Young Leaders in more than 20 cities, Cisco is helping us to accelerate this impact for young people all around the globe.

The initiative kicks off with a global digital Summit this week connecting more than 250 Young Leaders from 23 cities to share learnings in community football, participate in valuable discussions, and engage in fun collaboration.
The Summit utilises Cisco Webex to enable Young Leaders to connect remotely as they exchange ideas and enjoy interactive sessions on topics such as leadership in uncertain times, and effective communication skills and techniques for remote programme delivery.
This extended commitment builds on Cisco’s existing support of Cityzens Giving in Mumbai where Young Leaders are using football as a tool to enhance children’s education, provide tuition assistance to those who are struggling in school and offer support and mentoring to reduce drop-out rates.
It also supports Cisco’s broader commitment to positively impact the lives of one billion people by 2025.
Tom Pitchon, Director of City Football Foundation, said “As our global community network continues to grow, technology plays an integral role in ensuring high quality connectivity for impactful learning.
“We are very excited to further integrate Cisco’s expertise within Cityzens Giving to bridge the physical divides between Young Leaders, enabling good practice to flow around the world.
“By equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need through the new digital network, we are working collectively to ensure they continue to develop and have a positive impact in their communities.”
