This week the Club’s charity, City in the Community (CITC), is proud to be supporting the NSPCC’s Children Protection in Sport Unit’s (CPSU), ‘Keeping your Child Safe in Sport’ campaign.

‘Keeping your Child Safe in Sport’ week is an annual awareness campaign.

It aims to bring together parents, sports clubs and bodies to help support, inform and empower parents and carers with the confidence and knowledge about the role they can play in keeping their children safe in sports and activity settings.

Providing a safe and positive environment for all participants is a vital aspect of CITC.

CITC value the input and support of all parents and carers, who play a part in supporting and developing their child’s confidence, enjoyment and performance in sport.

The charity is encouraging parents and carers of its participants to complete the CPSU free e-learning course, which aims to help further develop parents and carers understanding of how they can keep their child safe in sport.

Complete the course here.

Throughout ‘Keeping your Child Safe in Sport’ week, CITC also welcome all parents and carers to complete a new survey, to share their thoughts and opinions on our safeguarding practices at City in the Community.

Complete the survey here.
