This week the Club’s charity, City in the Community (CITC) are proud to be supporting the NSPCC’s Children Protection in Sport Unit’s (CPSU), ‘Keeping your Child Safe in Sport’ campaign.

‘Keeping your Child Safe in Sport’ week is an annual awareness campaign.

It aims to bring together parents, sports clubs and bodies to help support, inform and empower parents and carers with the confidence and knowledge about the role they can play in keeping their children safe in sports and activity settings.

Providing a safe and positive environment for all is a vital aspect of CITC.

CITC value the input and support of all their participants parents and carers, who play a part in supporting and developing their child’s confidence, enjoyment and performance in sport.

CITC are encouraging the parents and carers of their participants to complete the FA’s new ‘Safeguarding awareness for parents and carers’ course, which aims to create greater awareness of the safeguarding role they can play.
