CITC understands the importance of creating a culture of listening to our participants and hearing their voices.
The charity wants everybody who participates in their programmes to feel valued and be encouraged to share their voice and thoughts when they are involved in an activity.
Throughout the week, a number of activities are taking place, including asking participants to celebrate all voices and encouraging them to share their thoughts about City in the Community.
CITC Safeguarding Manager, Michael Walker, said: “CITC promotes a listening culture across all our provisions. We actively listen, support and value their thoughts, feelings, views, and opinions.
“Through our ‘Speak Week’ campaign we are celebrating and championing the voices of all our participants and reminding them that we are here to listen and for them to speak up.”
Keep an eye out across our social media channels from Monday, March 18 to keep up to date with all the Speak Week activities.
