Manchester City’s charity, City in the Community (CITC), has launched a new Youth Voice Panel and is currently looking for motivated youngsters to join!

CITC’s Youth Voice Panel will give young people across Greater Manchester an opportunity to contribute to meaningful change and decision-making, relating to the work of City in the Community, creating healthier lives through football.

The charity is looking for 12 young people, aged 11-18 (up to 25 for those with additional needs) that will meet quarterly.

The panel will:

  • Influence decision making
  • Co-design policies, programmes and strategies to ensure they work effectively for local communities that CITC work with
  • Provide insight about the issues affecting local young people and how CITC can support with tackling some of those challenges
  • Gain feedback about our existing or upcoming programmes/projects

Head of Operations at City in the Community, Lisa McKay, said: “We are thrilled to be launching a new Youth Voice Panel for the charity.

“The initiative is one we’ve wanted to introduce for a long time and builds on our core value of being ‘youth-led’.

“The new panel will help to ensure that everything City in the Community does, both programmatic and non-programmatic, can be shaped and influenced by the young people we are here to support.

“We’re ready and waiting to receive your applications!”

Applications are only open to those who live in the Greater Manchester area.

City in the Community empowers healthier lives with city youth through football.
