City in the Community has created a virtual version of its much-loved Blue Run event, which sees fans complete a route around the Etihad Campus, all whilst being covered in blue paint on Saturday 25 March.
The minigame, which launches on Friday 17 February, will be located inside on the caves on Blue Moon and will see avatars enjoy an obby race either alone or with their friends, whilst being covered in virtual blue paint.
While fans race through the course, their avatar will be wearing the limited-edition Blue Run t-shirt.
Fans can RSVP for the virtual Blue Run on Roblox early with the link provided below.
The Blue Run minigame will be live until Saturday 25 March, when thousands of people will take part in the real event both at the Etihad Campus and from home; choosing a 2.5km or 5km route.
Those who complete the Virtual Blue Run will then be given a discount code use when signing-up for the in-person event either at the Etihad or from home.
City in the Community’s Partnerships and Fundraising Manager, Sam Dainty, said:
“This is a really exciting project for the Club’s charity; creating a fun and engaging experience on Roblox for the first time enables us to connect with more young people.
“But the main aim of the Blue Run minigame is to help promote physical activity. City in the Community is passionate about creating healthy lives through football and we hope that, through the Virtual Blue Run and its associated event discount, we can get more people moving both here in Manchester and around the globe.”
Anyone who registers for the Blue Run on the 25 March will also be sent a special pack in the post, including international posting, which provides them with an event t-shirt, medal and training support.

One of Manchester City’s key priorities is to ensure that we manage safe environments for people online. Man City would like to be proactive in child safeguarding and provide support for users in the Blue Moon experience. For all users who enter the experience, we will be providing additional safety reminders and resources on how to report misconduct.
