Manchester City and real estate company IMKAN Misr have teamed up to launch the first Manchester City Football School in Egypt.

The Manchester City Football School will provide authentic and creative football coaching programs for players aged between 5-16, utilising the coaching philosophy and methodology of Manchester City.

The School, based within the Alburouj development in East Cairo, will include a Manchester City coaching team, 11-a-side natural turf pitch, classrooms, changing rooms, medical room and a catering area.

Jorgina Busquets, Managing Director - Football Education & Recreation for City Football Group, commented.

“We are delighted to be bringing our first Manchester City Football School in Africa into the Alburouj development.

“We are looking forward to creating a great experience, through the presence of the Head Coach Jamie Lee, and the rest of the coaching staff, based on the same approach and methodology that we use in our programs in Manchester, albeit appropriate to the level of each player.”

Abdalla El Nockrashy, CEO of Imkan Misr, expressed his enthusiasm for the new collaboration with Manchester City to launch the first football school of its kind in the region.

“By partnering up with top tier alliances such as Manchester City, this collaboration comes as a part of Alburouj’s commitment to breathe life into a community that has been created to exemplify the importance of wellbeing.”

The launch of the school will include a summer camp that will be held between June 2021 and August 2021, with the official opening of the club taking place in October 2021.
