Discriminatory comments, chants, or gestures have no place in football, and we remain committed to working with our fans to eliminate this behaviour.
That is why we are today announcing the launch of a new text service for reporting discrimination and anti-social behaviour at the Etihad Stadium on a matchday.
Fans who see or hear abusive behaviour are encouraged to text 0770 0151 894 to make our dedicated security team aware of what they have witnessed.
The service is available to all fans at the Etihad Stadium on matchday. You can share your feedback anonymously by texting your block, row, seat number and a short description of the incident to the number.
You can also continue to report incidents by talking to a steward or the police at the stadium.
We operate a zero-tolerance approach to all discriminatory and abusive behaviour including any form of Racism, Homophobia, Islamophobia, Antisemitism, Sexism or disability discrimination.
Unacceptable behaviour may also include offensive chanting or gestures related to football-related tragedies.
Anyone found to be acting in such a manner may be subject to a stadium ban as outlined within the Club’s Supporter Charter.
As part of the Club’s continued work to tackle discriminatory behaviour, nineteen individuals were issued with bans during the 2022/23 season.
