Cityzens Giving for Recovery, City Football Group’s ground-breaking 12-month recovery drive, is bringing together its nine clubs, thousands of staff, and millions of fans, to help communities get back on their feet in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of Cityzens Giving for Recovery, we are matching donations for the funding of nine recovery-linked projects near each of our clubs*.

In a special series, we take a closer look at the projects earmarked in each of our nine chosen locations.

We’ve been supporting the emergency COVID-19 response through almost £1,000,000 of donations, in-kind support and loaning of facilities.

Now we are aiming to deliver a minimum of another £1,000,000 of funding and support by introducing Cityzens Giving for Recovery, a 12-month campaign which will focus our donations, expertise, facilities, resources, and voice, on making a positive difference to the recovery of our communities.

We will be matching pound for pound donations for the funding of nine recovery-linked projects near to each of our clubs.

We are asking our fans to help us reach our targets by donating the specific project that means most to you – and we will match your donation.*

Our next spotlight falls on Yokohama.

In Yokohama and Tokyo, many children living in care homes have been left isolated as a result of the Coronavirus crisis.

Whilst the needs of children always come first, the essential workers who look after them have continued to put their lives at risk and the lives of their families coming to work every day during a time of global uncertainty.

This project will provide support to both the children and the staff in care homes in Yokohama, Tohoku, Tokyo and Nagoya.
