Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has attended a special launch event for PUMA AI Creator, a tool that will allow City fans to create their dream kit using the power of AI.

Ahead of the official launch today, a preview event was held at the Etihad Stadium for fans and media to experience PUMA AI Creator for the first time.

Guests were able to hear from club and PUMA representatives about the project and engage with Manchester City player Ederson, who made a special appearance to showcase for the first time the AI-generated goalkeeper shirt he helped design.

Design your kit now

PUMA AI Creator was first used by City players Ederson, Stefan Ortega and Rico Lewis who together designed a bespoke goalkeeper kit. Creatively inspired by the net of a football goal, this will be the first-ever AI manufactured football kit to be worn on-pitch.

The goalkeeper kit will be available for sale in limited quantities and will be seen on-pitch later this season.

Speaking at the event, Ederson shared his excitement to see the goalkeeper kit the players created using PUMA AI Creator in-person:

“It’s the first time I’ve designed a shirt together with Stefan and Rico and I’m so happy I’ll get to see our shirt on the pitch. It looks amazing - the colours are so nice, they remind me of the colours of Brazil.”

PUMA AI Creator officially launches on Monday 9 December and will be open for fans to submit kit designs until Friday 20 December. The top ten designs will then be unveiled for voting in January.
