In doing so, the Stadium Tour has been voted in the top five experiences in the UK, and the top 1% of all experiences across the globe.
This is the second time in three years that the Manchester City Stadium Tour has won the Best of the Best award by the online platform. The award is based on reviews collected from travellers from across the globe and no other sports or stadium tour in the UK made the top 10 shortlist.
The recent success reflects the Club’s efforts to create a unique and immersive experience for guests.
Over the past twelve months, the Stadium Tour has introduced three new (virtual) signings – Erling Haaland, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake.
Through the use of augmented reality technology, the three Premier League winners now feature on the tour so fans and visitors can sit next to virtual versions of the players, ask them questions and even pose for pictures. Fans can also take part in a digital press conference alongside manager Pep Guardiola.
Commenting on the award, Danny Wilson, Managing Director – Manchester City Operations, said: “There is something extra special about being rated in the top one per cent of Tripadvisor’s experiences for the second time in three years. It shows the consistent high-quality tours on offer and it reflects the hard work of the team. I’m delighted we once again stand out amongst all other sports clubs as Tripadvisor’s Best of the Best.
“Congratulations to all our incredible guides and everyone associated with the Manchester City Stadium Tour who has played a part in winning this fantastic award once again.”
Meanwhile, John Boris, Chief Growth Officer at Tripadvisor said: “Congratulations to Manchester City’s Stadium Tour on its recognition in Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best for 2024.
“Ranking among the top percentage of businesses globally means you have made such a memorable impact on your visitors that many of them took time to go online and leave a glowing review about their experience.”
A must-see for anyone visiting Manchester, guests can also take in the home of the Premier League Champions by visiting the Home Team changing room as well as walking through the iconic tunnel to get a pitch-side view from the dugout.
Children under the age of five can attend the Manchester City Stadium Tour free of charge, while under 16 tickets start at £16 and adult tickets at £26.
