Hundreds of fans celebrated in Seoul as part of the Club’s first ‘Match Day Live on Tour’ stop.

Matchday Live, presented by Asahi, on tour with Etihad, visited South Korea last weekend in collaboration with club partner Nexen Tire, and was supported by Premier League broadcaster Coupang Play.

Bringing Match Day Live on the road for the first ever time, over 800 City fans were in attendance at the DDL venue in Seoul to watch the Club’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Leeds and celebrate Phil Foden’s late winner.

As well as watching academy graduate Phil Foden score an injury time goal, fans were also able to hear from another academy graduate and former City defender, Nedum Onuoha, who provided live analysis of pre-and-post match following Manchester City’s victory.

He was joined on stage by former Manchester City player, Fabian Delph, who offered his expertise and provided insight into his time playing in the Club’s centurion squad, the first team ever to reach 100 points in a Premier League season.

They were joined on stage by presenter and face of Match Day Live, Natalie Pike, with the Club’s mascots, Moonchester and Moonbeam also taking photos with fans and live competitions taking place.

As well as the live fan event on Saturday evening, the Club also visited a number of locations across Seoul, including an event at the British Embassy on Friday, with both Nedum Onuoha and Fabian Delph later visiting leading sport organisation and Manchester City Esports partner, ‘Gen G’, to test their gaming skills and try various Korean food dishes.

In addition to this, Nedum and Fabian also visited local Namdeamum Market to find and purchase various local items, as well as learning and practicing Taekwondo from local masters and former Korean Taekwondo internationals.
