I happened to be on holiday and tuned into a Premier League match, which turned out to be the Manchester Derby. Since Man City was on the rise at the time, I’ve been supporting them ever since. Maybe it was just fate with City.
The 2010/11 season marks my earliest memory as a City fan, a time when the team was unstoppable.
We missed out on the Premier League title, but lifting the FA Cup felt like the beginning of a new era. I remember dreaming of all the trophies we could win in the future - and now, I’m confident that this incredible team will continue to rewrite the history books.
Vincent Kompany’s goal against Leicester at home in the 2018/19 season remains etched in my memory forever.
That unforgettable screamer gave City the crucial 1-0 lead, helping us seal the victory and ultimately lift the trophy.
And I’m looking forward to sharing more unforgettable moments like this with City fans around the world!
Besides following the men’s team, I now pay more attention to other teams like the Women’s and youth squads. By watching different matches, I hope to connect with a wider range of people.
On top of watching Man City matches together, we [other City fans] play Esport games and get together all the time. They’re basically like brothers to me.

I started playing and watching football back in 2012 but honestly had no clue which team to support.
Then I saw the news that City won the league in that crazy dramatic way — that got me interested. In the first half of the 2012/13 season they kept scoring last-minute winners.
That never-give-up attitude completely blew my mind as a teenager. That’s how I became a City fan.
There’s still one game that sticks in my head. It was the 2012/13 season against Reading. They defended super well and it was 0-0 for ages. Then right at the end David Silva whipped in a cross and Gareth Barry headed it home. That moment is still so clear in my mind even now.
I don’t really join any supporters’ clubs or go out to watch games with people. I just prefer chilling at home and watching by myself, so I have no special routines.
But there are quite a few Arsenal fans around me, so when City play Arsenal we sometimes watch together. Like last season’s League Cup final — I watched it with friends.
Scoring a goal and celebrating right in front of them is pretty fun. Even though we’re rival fans, we still chat and laugh after the game. It’s actually a nice way to get closer.
Sometimes when life’s a bit bad and I’m feeling down, watching the team give everything and fight for the win really lifts my mood. (Thanks Pep for making me feel pretty good most of these past 10 years)
Like I said earlier, I don’t really join City fan meet-ups or anything. But in everyday life, if I find out someone else supports City, there’s instantly more of a connection.
For example, me and Jacky — we actually met playing FC Pro Clubs. Once we realised we’re both City fans, we started talking more about football and hanging out more, and got way closer.
He even said he wants me to be his best man at his wedding (still not sure if he was joking or serious).
