And less than 24 hours later, our team will take centre stage in the RLCS 2026 Kick-Off Weekend, our first competition.
Manchester City are the only Premier League club to be competing in the Rocket League space.
In yesterday’s announcement, we also welcomed our three professional Rocket League players to the Club.
Aston ‘Accro’ Smith, William ‘ejby’ Lorentzen and Christian ‘TempoH’ Mortensen make up our trio and will be coached by Noah Hinder.
Their first opponent will be NOVO Esports this evening, with the match available to watch live on the Rocket League Twitch channel.
Updates will also be available on our Man City Esports social media channels: @ManCityEsports.
The game consists of a five-minute match in which the team with the highest score at full-time will advance. If it is a draw when the time runs out, the match will go to over-time in which golden goal will see the winning team move on to the next stage.
If we are successful in the quarter-final match, we will advance to the semi-final where we will face Ninja in Pyjamas.
A semi-final and final triumph would see Man City Esports qualify for the Boston Major.
Everyone at Manchester City would like to wish Accro, ejby and TempoH the very best of luck throughout the LAN event at Copenhagen this weekend.
