That is why for the 2026/27 season we are trialling an initiative which will ringfence thousands of £10 Premier League tickets for local residents. In doing so, we can ensure those at the heart of our community have the opportunity to regularly attend games.
Residents in the wards surrounding the Etihad Campus will be able to apply for discounted tickets for every Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium next season, with some domestic and European cup matches also included.
The eligible wards, as defined by Manchester City Council, are Ancoats & Beswick, Clayton & Openshaw, Gorton & Abbey Hey, Ardwick, and Miles Platting & Newton Heath.
Following consultation with City Matters, there will be between 100 and 500 ringfenced tickets available across the Etihad Stadium for each match.
Tickets will be priced at £10 for Adults, £7.50 for Concessions and £5 for Under-18s.
Tickets will be released following confirmation of the match date and kick-off time and will be randomly allocated via a ballot process to give everyone equal access.
To be eligible, residents will need to provide evidence of their postal address during a quick and easy registration process. Further information on this process can be found here.
Any misuse of the scheme will result in action in line with the Club’s sanctions and bans policy outlined in the Supporter Charter.
Commenting on the announcement, Danny Wilson, Managing Director - Operations, said:
“Manchester City has always been rooted in its community, and as we grow, we want to ensure people who live closest to the Etihad Campus remain part of everything that happens here.
“We know matchdays bring significant social and economic opportunities to the area, but with more matches, more activities and more visitors than ever before, it’s important that those who live closest to us can continue to enjoy the experience, make lasting memories, and be a part of the journey with us.”
