The 2023/24 season is fast approaching, and City have a busy week ahead. Here’s all you need to know…

Following Pep Guardiola’s side’s return from our  pre-season tour of Asia, our campaign curtain-raiser with Arsenal in the Community Shield final sharply comes into focus.

Elsewhere, the Women’s World Cup is reaching fever pitch with the conclusion of the group stages and the opening Round of 16 ties beginning as we provide City-centric coverage of matches – while the finale of our latest City Studios documentary is released.

Find out all the key information below…

MONDAY

On Monday, Gareth Taylor and his City players return to the CFA as pre-season training begins.

As always, we’ll provide a gallery of the very best images from our first session.

Meanwhile, Guardiola’s team will land back in the UK in the early hours after our narrow 2-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid in Seoul, South Korea.

Rest assured, that doesn’t signal the end of our in-depth coverage of the tour, as our Pitcam coverage returns with a unique look at the meeting with Diego Simeone’s side.

It is also judgment day for sky blue duo Mary Fowler and Alanna Kennedy’s Australia at the World Cup, who need to beat Canada in their final Group B to progress into the knockout stages.

The Matildas currently sit in third one place below their opponents and the final progression place.

Yui Hasegawa’s Japan are also in action, facing Spain in their final group game with first place up for grabs after the two nations having already qualified for the last-16.

TUESDAY

Amazing content is set to follow the day after as the finale of our ‘3in3’ documentary, which maps the tremendous 2022/23 campaign by our Elite Development Squad, is released on CITY+.

The August edition of the Manchester City magazine, which is packed with amazing interviews, articles and much more, will also be made available on mancity.com and our official app.

Stay close to our channels too for the Continental Cup group stage draw, which begins at 11:15 (UK) on TalkSPORT 2, where we will publish our opponents for the opening stage of the competition.

Finally on Tuesday, England will play their final group match of the 2023 World Cup against China, while Kerstin Casparij and Jill Roord’s Netherlands face Vietnam in theirs.

WEDNESDAY

City’s men’s team return to training on English soil on Wednesday and a  gallery and video will be published shortly after the conclusion of the CFA session.

And the final City-focused group games of the Women’s World Cup will be played as Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s Jamaica face Brazil and Filippa Angeldahl’s Sweden play Argentina.

THURSDAY

After claiming a historic third successive Premier League U18 National title last term, our Under-18s will learn the fixtures for the upcoming season on Thursday.

Stay close to mancity.com and our official app for all of the details.

SATURDAY

At present, only Julie Blakstad’s Norway and Hasegawa’s Japan from City’s squad have confirmed their places in the knockout rounds.

All roads then lead to Wembley as the shutters raise on the 2023/24 campaign when we lock horns with Arsenal for the first prize of the term.
