Our Official Supporters Clubs celebrated Manchester City’s Champions League progression in style as match screenings and parties were hosted around the world.

Over the course of out thrilling two-legged victory over reigning champions Real Madrid, fans from Algeria to Australia gathered to witness an emphatic 5-1 aggregate victory.

The first leg attracted huge crowds in Iraq as our Iraq Sky Blue branch hosted a watch party with over 150 supporters. The event, which attracted national broadcasters, was held in the local Babylon Mall.

Members of the Lahore branch in Pakistan met for their sixth match screening of the season.

“Kick off was at 12 AM and surprisingly this was our biggest turnover so far. The atmosphere was electric,” Wasif, the Chair of the branch, added.

It was a similar story in the second meeting between the sides, as Pep Guardiola‘s men cruised to a memorable 4-0 victory at the Etihad Stadium to book our place in the final.

The Lahore branch once again hosted a watch party, as well as their fellow OSC in Pune, India.

The screening started at 00:30 local time, with over 50 OSC members in attendance.

Our branches in the United States, as usual, also played host to watch parties across the country.

The Knoxville, Tennessee branch enjoyed a memorable night at Xul Beer Co., drawing in one of their biggest crowds for a midweek match.

Equally exciting scenes were taking place 700 miles north, as Spencer, a committee member for New York Sky Blues, explains: “Amity Hall was packed—we were at full capacity. Blues were standing shoulder to shoulder and the place was absolutely bouncing!

“Everyone was singing, and we even got a Poznan going in the second half. The place was going bonkers, and the atmosphere was electric.

“I’ve rarely heard the place so loud before. I’m still buzzing about it!”

Our Citizens of Brasil branch hosted two watch parties in Sao Paulo and the capital of Brasilia.

Lucas, the branch’s Chair added:, ‘It was just amazing to be with the people, celebrating... there were some Spaniards there and of course we played a lot with them, it was very friendly and funny.

“As always it was our own Etihad Stadium here in Brazil.”

Down under, 55 members of the Sydney branch gathered at 05:00 to cheer on Pep Guardiola‘s men.

Branch Chair, Tanya said of the event: “We all know the time difference between UK and Australia can sometimes not be very easy for the OSC so the attendance was phenomenal.

“We went into this game feeling nervous, however this quickly turned into joy once Bernardo scored!”

Finally, our Algiers branch arranged events for both fixtures against Real Madrid, the first taking place in a theatre and the second at a cinema.

Nacim, the General Secretary of the Algiers branch said: “We enjoyed the moment. The club, players, manager and staff made us happy and it’s a great memory for us.

“Thanks a lot to all of the players and for the Club. Come on, City!”

We can’t wait to see what our Official Supporters Clubs do for the Champions League Final.
