The Club and its Charity, City in the Community (CITC) is proud to be supporting ‘Anti Bullying Week 2023’ from Monday, November 13.

Bullying has a long-lasting effect on those who experience or witness it, and the Club and CITC are standing together to share the message that bullying in any of its forms isn’t ok.

The theme of this year’s Anti-Bullying Week is to ‘Make a Noise’ on bullying.

Let’s make noise together and show each other the support we need. Reach out to someone you trust if you need to talk and reach out to someone you know is being bullied.

Head of Safeguarding, Ryan Greenhalgh said: “It is vital that all of our participants are safe and feel safe. To achieve this, we need to ensure that we educate them around the issue of bullying and act appropriately where bullying occurs within any of our programs.”

To start the week on Monday, 13 November, staff will be embracing ‘Odd Socks Day’ to raise awareness and celebrate our uniqueness.

We want you to get involved by sending your ‘Odd Socks’ pictures to @CITCManCity.

Throughout the week, Manchester City and CITC is also keen to raise awareness across their programmes around the topic of bullying and the impact it can have on people.

Activities will vary from session workshops, interactive games and group discussions to social media activities, to a new safeguarding video, encapsulating the main safeguarding messages of CITC.
