Manchester City and L’Équipe have today announced the creation of a commemorative digital collectible of the 2022 Ballon d’Or Club of the Year Trophy.

The Club won the prestigious honour for the first time last month in recognition of our successes both on and off the pitch.

The physical Ballon d’Or Club of the Year Trophy, alongside the commemorative digital collectible, will be on display in the museum at the City Store as part of the Official Man City Stadium Tour. Fans will have the opportunity to view and take pictures with both the physical and digital versions.

The Club will also be gifting players a commemorative digital collectible of the Trophy, in collaboration with L’Équipe. The other five Ballon d’Or winners were presented with a digital collectible of their individual trophies during the ceremony.

Club employees will also receive a digital collectible to mark the occasion.

Owned by L’Équipe group and created by France Football in 1956, the 66th Ballon d’Or ceremony was held in Paris on 17 October and broadcast in nearly 200 countries. 2022 is the year of renewal for the most recognised and sought-after sports trophy in the world.
